Frequently Asked Questions

What makes Vietnamese coffee different?

Vietnam is the world's second largest exporter of coffee. It is best known for it's Robusta bean coffee which has double the caffeine content of Arabica bean coffee and 60% less fats and sugars.

The smooth taste and intense flavours of Vietnamese coffee make it especially enjoyable for drinkers looking for a boost of caffeine.

What makes Lang's Coffee premium?

While Robusta coffee beans are sometimes associated with a harsher flavour, Lang's Coffee uses "Fine Robusta" which refers to a premium subset of Robusta bean that exhibits exceptional qualities in terms of flavour, aroma and overall quality.

Our blend is particularly smooth due to:

Bean quality: our beans are cultivated in the Central Highlands of Vietnam at 700m altitude with rich volcanic soil and a tropical climate with distinct dry and rainy seasons. There is a strict standard for removing beans with impurities or flaws to improve the quality and smoothness of our coffee.

Grind size: our coffee's drinkability is largely influenced by how well it mixes in water. The fine grind used in both our Espresso Black and Vietnamese Traditional coffee creates a smooth, consistent and creamy texture.

Flavour and Brewing: when properly cultivated and processed, Fine Robusta can display a smoother and more balanced taste compared to regular Robusta coffee. Our unique Robusta flavour profile includes notes of chocolate, nuts, and hints of fruitiness.

What's the story behind the logo?

The logo is an image of a Vietnamese fishing boat leaving Ha Long Bay. It is a tribute to the hard working people who work rain or shine along the coast of Vietnam.

The logo is a reminder that whether you are an entrepreneur, a banker, or a fisherman in Ha Long Bay, everyone is on their own path; all we can do is Enjoy the Ride.
